This practice directive is an example of a good practice regarding the treatment of defendants who are children and defendants with mental disabilities.

This is a basic guideline that sets out desirable policies and practices for children taken out of the care of their parents. It includes guidelines on the inclusion of the voice of the child. It also looks at the different issues faced by children with disabilities in care.
